Mulkirigala Raja Maha Viharaya(Mulgirigala) is an ancient Buddhist temple in Mulkirigala,Sri Lanka. It is built on a high natural rock and is surrounded by four other rocks named as Benagala, Kondagala, Bisogala and Seelwathigala.the temple is constructed in a massive natural rock that is similar to Sigiriya.the site is known as the punchi Sigiriya or the little Sigiriya by the locals even though it not famous as Lions Rock (Sigiriya)it is more older than the Sigiriya. Today this temple has been recognized as an archaeological site by the government, and is a marvel of architecture, paintings and sculptures.
