These hot water springs are located in a village called ‘ Weherapellassa’. But Madunagala is
the famous village in this area. Thus, these are called as ‘Madunagala Hot Water Springs’.
This place is very popular among the local pilgrims.
The temperature of the water is about 44 Celsius. According to geology, there are geo
thermal currents and water currents in this land. The heat of thermal currents transfers to the
water and hot water comes out.
